“Surround yourself with the best possible people and treat our patients like we would want our family members to be treated. The rest will take care of itself.”

Injuries happen, and when one sustains an injury that affects their ability to perform daily tasks, they seek medical treatment. But people often do not realize that even once an injury is treated, the affected area may not be 100% right away. A person may not have the same range of motion that they once did, they may have lost flexibility or may need to relearn how to perform certain physical tasks.

Physical therapy is the next step once the initial injury has been stabilized. Physical therapy can accomplish several goals which may include alleviating acute or chronic pain, strengthening muscles, improving flexibility, and generally helping a person get as close to their pre-injured self as possible. Several treatment modalities may be utilized including exercises and active movements that can be done both in an outpatient clinic and at home, guided movements done by the therapist, stretches, heat therapy, cold therapy, electrical current stimulation, and gait training. All of these services and more are offered at our Melbourne outpatient clinics.

On your initial contact with our office, our team aims to make your process as seamless as possible. If you are referred to us by your primary physician, we call you as soon as we get your referral. If you are inquiring about treatment on your own, our receptionist will ask you about your injury and your physical limitations. Prior to coming to the office, our team will ask you about your insurance carrier, ensure you understand your financial obligations, and contact your insurance company if your benefits coverage is unclear. They will also send you your intake forms to fill out prior to arriving at your appointment. Our practice has two locations in Melbourne and one in Rockledge to choose from. All of our offices have ample parking and are wheelchair accessible.

PT Evaluation

On the day you arrive for your appointment, our receptionist will take a copy of your photo ID, your insurance card, and your complete intake forms. Your assigned therapist will spend a full sixty minutes with you, evaluating your needs and creating a customized treatment plan, that will include the number of times you will need to come into the office, the duration of your treatment, and will likely include at-home exercises to practice.

During each appointment, you will have a one-on-one session with your assigned therapist. Your therapist will not book any other appointments during your allotted time slot, and will be with you every step of the way. Depending on your treatment plan, your therapist may teach you exercises or stretches to do on your own throughout the week, provide guided, passive movements, apply pressure to affected areas, use hot or cold therapies, or use specialized equipment to work on balance or gait issues.

Our therapists pride themselves on providing treatment that is above and beyond expectations. We service Brevard county including Melbourne, Titusville, Cocoa, Palm Bay, Grant, Valkaria, and Rockledge, Vierra, and the beach communities including Melbourne beach, Indialantic, Indian Harbor beach, Satellite beach, and Cocoa beach.
